Summary: Sounds amazing, super customizable and very good looking. Every once in a while it glitches out for a second when searching for a song. It can also be a little slow when skipping songs on random but I have a 160 gig ipod hooked up to it so I don't know if that's part of the issue. I would definitely suggest this unit for anyone looking for a top of the line ipod integrated blue tooth deck. Also nice to have 4 preouts.
Summary: Bought this several months ago, and as it was replacing an older Kenwood, the wiring was super easy (unplug old harness, plug in new harness). Once I got everything hooked up and set, the sound was great. And it worked perfectly with my 5th gen iPod touch; I turned off the truck and it stopped playing, but still charged it, and then started where it left off when I started the truck.
Summary: To use all the features you got to be tech savvy, Pretty much the upscale reviewers are right in the sound quality and the ability to bend its sound production to your will or rather to the interior of a vehicles acoustic needs is spot on. However some reviewers made negative comments about the lack of a CD player. I praise manufacturers who make upscale single din decks without CD mechanics in them.
Summary: THIS UNIT IS AWESOME! I can't seem to get it to play videos though (even with looking at the video size requirements, audio bit rate and so on) the radio shuts off and restarts when i try to play video via USB Flash Drive. With that said, everything else about this device is amazing! One other thing, the XM Radio antenna you need for this radio is discontinued, you must purchase the KCA-SR50 Adapter AND the SCC1 XM Antenna..... That was majorly disappointing.
Summary: Since this obviously doesn't have a CD player, and it's a digital media receiver, shouldn't it support different digital media types? Apparently Kenwood missed the boat on this one. It is certainly a solid and beautiful unit, but ONLY USB? come on Kenwood. Where is the front USB and SD card slot? Basically if all you care about is listening to USB music, this isn't a bad buy. I personally like the option of having at least 2 different sources.
Summary: Loaded with rich features for the novice or audiophile that can fine tune the sound for your individual vehicle. Even without a CD player if you have enough digital music (and who doesn't these days?!) you'll never miss not having it.
