Summary: Good stereo for the price. The USB output is amazing and you get some great sound out of it. I had reservations about replacing an existing in-dash stereo/cd player in my 04 Toyota Corolla but when that broke for the SECOND time I was fed up. I got this as a birthday present and my father installed it for me.
Summary: This is my second Kenwood. The first one that I purchased was a reconditioned from eBay and it recently started having problems. But 1st KDC152 pair with Kicker speakers, a good many of my friends and co-workers liked the sound quality for the $'s they have went out and bought themselves a Kenwood and some Kicker speakers. This KDC258U: 1st, I just had to slide out my old KDC152 plug in this new KDC258U slide it in snap on the face plates and I'm back in business.
Summary: My stepdaughter loved this gift for Christmas. It was a great bargain, the only issue we have found with it...the radio sound can have a little static reception. Other than that, can't beat the quality for the price!
Summary: This is the second one of these I have bought. The first one was a slightly earlier version and it has worked well. This unit was installed per the instructions, works OK on FM and CD modes but the AM reception is unacceptable. Even the local 50,000 watt clear channel station cannot be picked up. On top of that, the clock loses about half a minute per day so I am constantly resetting it. I am very disappointed with this unit and would not recommend it.
Summary: This unit works great. Moved it from one car to another and I'm still using it today. It was a great deal too. The USB port and audio input make it very easy to play music from a flash drive or a phone.
Summary: Googol shop is great , they sent me an upgraded version of the head unit and it works great. Got here before I expected it and absolutely no problems with the head unit. I have it hooked up to an amp and sub and the faceplate is very easy to take off if needed. Feels very solid and a good buy.
Summary: The screen could be brighter but not a huge deal. The only other downside I have is the way the user interface works can be a little confusing but reading the manual helped me out. It plays MP3 Cd's and the auxiliary port is the best thing thats ever happened to me. Love it!
