Summary: I love this stereo. It is my favorite type, I'll never go back to using my factory stereo. It's easy to use, convenient, has many good features, looks nice in my car, overall this is a great product!
Summary: I got this stereo for my son's car. It was my first Kenwood deck. I got it because it was on sale, simple, and had the auxiliary input for his iphone. The stereo worked fine for several months, then it started having issues with the auxiliary input. Sound from the left side cut out and my son had to wiggle the auxiliary to get sound from both sides. I contacted Kenwood and the customer service was horrible. They told me to send it to an authorized repair center.
Summary: Just as title says, Have not had a problem with it. Installation was a little slow, but the was my cars fault. I have had it since Christmas. Would Recommend to anyone who's in the market for a Cd player with Aux input, Easy to use EQ settings, and who's looking to save money. Spending less does not ALWAYS mean you get less.
Summary: This is the second KDC I've purchased. The reasons I like them are that they sound great and are not cluttered with many buttons and controls. My other is a higher end unit with HD radio that is just fantastic. This is a lower end model with fewer features but that sounds just as good.
Summary: The Amazon price was great but when the Stereo would not turn on after a week I was shocked to find out that Amazon and their resellers are not authorized Kenwood distributers and thus NO WARRENTY! Because this happened so soon after purchase the reseller Cool n Cheap has sent me a return authorisation and said they would look at it and possibly repair or replace. But it was only out of their kindness, and only because it happened so soon.
Summary: This is a pretty good unit for the price, when changing bass, mid, balance, ect... you just have to make sure your at the right screen. ive had countless times when ive tried to turn down the volume and its on bass or some other adjustment, i wish after a few mins of not adjusting the sound quality it would revert back to the main screen. Over all a good unit. Dont buy this unit the KDC-MP145 is better and cheaper in my opinion.
Summary: I put this in a 2000 Mazda Protege and it is a perfect fit. It sounds better than the stock stereo (no surprise) but I did not even upgrade the speakers. I like the remote control because the dash unit does have small buttons but even they work well too once you learn where everything is. It plays the CD's created on my computer in mp3 format. I like being able to choose to see either the name of the track or the name of the artist and CD title.
