Kenwood heats up very fast and only last about 2 years!!!!

Summary: I bought this radio 2 years ago because I needed an affordable radio. For the first year, I didn't have any problems with the radio and truly enjoyed what I experienced. Unfortunately, as of today, my radio goes into protective mode during the afternoon. The radio becomes very hot and locks up until it cools down (which is through the rest of the day until the next morning). Now I have to look for another affordable radio.
Summary: A perfect fit. Replaced a 11 year old Kenwood, that would no longer return my CD. This newer model needed no wiring changes and fit mechanically with same hardware. Operationally improved and I can now drop the little cheat sheet I kept in the glove box for updating the time twice a year. Quite a few other, welcome changes provide simplified operation.
Summary: Arrived on time, good system for the money, easy to install. Takes some time getting use to the red lighting, which I knew in advance but other than that it's all good. Wish there were a USB port, the sound is excellent.
Summary: I bought this to replace the factory stereo in my 96 Mustang. My husband installed it and it took some work because of the factory installed stereo was considered a premium sound system (not sure why) so there were additional work around steps that had to be taken. Other than that issue (which prevents me from giving it 5 stars) it's been great. Sound is excellent and I love how my mp3 players sounds through it. A great stereo for the price.
Summary: Having only cassette stereo and getting tired of the cassette adapter I looked into this stereo which suited my needs. If your are looking for a cheap good quality stereo that has cd player and auxiliary output this is the one for you.
