Summary: I replace the factory radio in a 2008 Nissan Xterra. The radio works as advertised. It would be a perfect radio if iHeart and Pandora could be controlled by the radio using the USB port for anroid phones. Instead you can listen to both with the auxiliary port. Maybe Kenwood can provide a future firmware update to allow for this. As far as installation, I did it myself and it was pretty straight forward.
Summary: I HAVE PURCHASED THE KENWOOD TO REPLACE THE BROKED FACTORY RADIO IN A CHEVY TRUCK. SO IT IS THE BEST AFTER MARKET RADIO I HAVE EVER BROUGHT. I CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE DISPLAY WITHOUT MY GLASSES AND CAN ALSO SEE IN IT BRIGHT SUNLIGHT. A GREAT FEATURE IS THE MUTED VOLUME WITH ONE TOUCH OF THE VOLUME KNOB. IF FITS IN FACTORY LOCATION VERY WELL. RADIO AND CD PLAYER ARE BETTER SOUNDING THAN FACTORY.
Conclusion: I have installed this unit in multiple cars for the price it is hard to beat. Simply put you get what you pay for and no more. Looks good in cars that need a double din size but don't want to add a screen. Front aux-usb works well as an upgrade in kids cars makes them happy and doesn't break the bank.
Summary: Outstanding product. Quality...wonderful. The ease of use...wonderful. Installation... Simple( with an aftermarket not included install kit). User friendly. Purchase was a great experience. The sound is fabulous and plenty of power. Doesn't begin to distort until volume 32, which is nice and loud. Love it. Would buy again.
Summary: While the unit looks nice it's reception is substandard. It doesn't pick up any AM stations and has difficulties with major FM stations which came in clear with my factory original stereo. I would not recommend this for Toyota Matrix owners.
