Summary: Just installed the unit one day ago with the Axxess GMOS-01 02, the GMK-422 kit, and Metra 40-GM10 Antenna Adapter, in my 2004 GMC Envoy. I purchased the JVC KW-R500 and kit from Sonic-electronic for $109.00. The GMOS came with all the needed wires so I didn't need an additional harness. Install should have been faster, but the GMOS didn't come with instructions and I had a little trouble, though after finishing in was really easy.
Summary: Installation was straight-forward after purchasing Metra 70-7301 Radio Wiring Harness. Required small adjustment to brackets from old radio to get correct height on new radio. Fuse on backside of radio will require removal of unit if it fails. Overall good value for the price.
Summary: I installed this Stereo in a 1998 Nissan Altima. Make sure you order the antenna adaptor as the stock one in this car has two prongs. i also utilized the wiring adaptor. Three days after I installed it, the Display failed. I contacted the seller and they were Great! My new replacement unit arrived today. JVC makes some great audio equipment, I look forward to putting the new unit in and enjoying it.
Summary: Bought this to replace the radio delete on my smart car. It sounds great plays MP3s via CD or MP3 and has aux in on the front panel. But I bought it for the price/value. I rate it 8 out of 10 on value for the money.
Summary: I installed this in a 2007 Ford fusion and wow what a difference. I have it connected to a 300W amp and 10" Sub. It was a choice between this radio and the Kenwood DPX308U. This radio was at least $75 cheaper and has the same Mosfet Amp and features. You can customize the color which is great. The sound is clear and I can turn up my stereo now and not have distortion from my stock speakers.
Summary: perfect match for my needs. Replaced factory stereo in 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. Allows MP3 CD, USB, AM, FM, AUX, and I was able to interface it with the factory Bluetooth system. I used an Axxess interface for steering wheel controls and got full remote functionality very easily. My only issue is the display is too dim to be seen while wearing sunglasses during the daytime, While the unit features an almost infinite number of selectable colors, white is the only one that is...
Summary: I bought this as a replacement for the OEM radio in my mothers Kia Sedona. The CD player in the OEM radio went south and giving the limited features of the factory radio it made no sense to go factory again. My mom is over 70 so simplicity and value were the paramount requirements for this purchase and this radio is perfect. It has just the right compliment of features, including front facing Aux input, and a front facing USB connector.
Summary: This stereo sounds great. I bought it for the usb port. I have a miniature 8gb flash drive loaded with music plugged in to it. My only gripe about the stereo is the play order. I wanted to use it for audio books on long trips, but it often plays mp3s from the flash drive in a totally baffling order. I still have no idea how it chooses mp3 order. It works well for some books, but not for most. I tried renaming tracks with 01, 02...
