Summary: This was purchased then returned. JVC would have you believe that you can control this stereo from their Android app. You can't!. As a basic stereo its fine. The problem lies with controlling it with an Android handset which you cannot. This was to be installed in an off-roading vehicle where the only place to put it in was behind the rear bulkhead. The idea was to use a USB lead to a handset and control via that since the controls were out of reach when driving.
Summary: Pretty good radio. I've come across a few issues though, not sure if i've just not installed it properly or its faulty, but sometimes when I try to play music through my phone it doesn't work. E.g. if I stall the car it will take a while to sort itself out. USB Works fine through phone. Can only go skip songs or go back when using the usb unless you use your phone to skip/go back.
Summary: Get a memory stick make sure all the songs are not in folders, put them altogether it will just make it simpler. It loses 2 stars because I can't find or it doesn't have the feature of saving your EQ choice and the play songs randomly selection for next time you go on a drive. The other reason is even you can press the display button to change displays - after 1 minute it just keeps advertising their products - text going across the screen. This is really stupid.
I like the stereo, but Android support is far from an easy process

Summary: I like the sound and the look of the unit. It seems well made and looks nice in the car. However the JVC android apps that work with the unit leave a lot to be desired. I am not 100% certain but I am pretty certain that Samsung's MPT and PTP support on the likes of my Galaxy S4 do not work with this unit as it needs the android device set in mass storage mode which I have no way of setting on my phone.
Excerpt: "I recently bought this radio as a present for a friend who bought his first car, we managed to set it up with relative ease and to this day it has performed faultlessly. At the reasonable price of £50, this radio performs up to the high standard of JVC's products. Perhaps its main drawback is its lack of a CD player, but this radio is more intended for MP3 usage. In terms of it's main benefits, and reasons to buy this radio, I wouldn't hesitate ...

Summary: +++ Bitte hinterlasst eine Bewertung +++ Gliederung: - Vorgeschichte - Technische Infos - Kauf/ Preis/ Vergleich - Aussehen und Verarbeitung - Einbau - Funktionen - Unterlagen/ Verpackung - Meine Erfahrungen - Fazit ---Vorgeschichte:--- Vor einem halben Jahr habe ich mir dieses Radio angeschafft und in einen VW Golf 4 eingebaut, in dem noch das Standardradio war.
