Summary: I bought the KD-R900 almost a year ago on Amazon for $135 (versus the $198.88 currently). It looked like the best value anywhere: Bluetooth and microphone, dual USB inputs, wireless remote, JVC name, good looks, great price...Sound quality is good, and the USB ports are fantastic, but I'm mostly disenchanted with my purchase. Why? 1) The microphone/Bluetooth feature never worked for me.
Summary: This radio can't be beat for the price, I liked it so much I purchased a second one for my other vehicle. Fast install, easy to use the Bluetooth feature is awesome. You just have to experiment with Mic placement, I tried several locations while a friend would listen to me speak. I finally settled on clipped to headliner by the windshield, it is feature packed and the dual USB is fantastic.
Summary: I have had this unit for about 4 months now and it has not given me any problems whatsoever. I love the color change, bluetooth, usb ipod compatibility options on it. Out of all of the car stereos that I have bought I never thought JVC would be the brand that would wow me. Every now and then when getting a call it breaks up a bit, but i believe it is cause of my phone signal and not the bluetooth or the mic.
Summary: I like this radio. It was easy to install, sounds better than the old radio. The usb port on the front is easy to use but looks funny unless you use the really small usb sticks. The blue tooth feature (why I bought this) is a little tricky, it will not reconnect if you get out of the truck and get in again, so I have to turn the radio off when I get out then back on when I get in. It relinks fine then. (I have to leave the truck on to deliver the heating oil).
Summary: I installed this CD Player into my Ford F150 extended cab as a replacement to a Pioneer CD Player that I had before. I've beena big Pioneer fan for a long time, as I feel like they are some of the highest quality manufacturer around for Car Audio products. This JVC unit had more features for the price than much more expensive Pioneer units only had a fraction of.
Summary: What a great Receaver!!!! Yesterday I recieved the JVC KD-R900. Out of the box looked good. Was not to hard to install afeter hetting the installation kit from a local car audio store. I have not installed speakers yet but the OEM speakes and the radio combination were extreamly nice. I know after I put the new speakers (infinity) this radio will be more than enough even with out an amplifier. Also I think the price was right.
Summary: Best in price for function, a name brand product at a no name price....bluetooth, front AND rear usb, front aux input, 100's of color options to match auto interior lighting, Ipod control works fast...all for just over $150!! Good luck finding a better deal than that.
Summary: wanted a bluetooth stereo for my 02 silverado extra cab. dont waste your time with this if you actually want to use the bluetooth phone and BT streaming. the phone worked good from my end...but the person on the other end couldnt here me very well... and then BT streaming made the speakers crackle with very bad static.so i sent the jvc back and i got the sony bt 3900U and the phone works AWESOME and the streaming has no static sound.
