Summary: Length:: 2:19 Mins Ok, so I am a JVC nut. Everything I buy I actively search for JVC. My TV, receiver, camcorder.. Etc. I bought this unit KD-BT11 three weeks ago. I paired it with some Infinity Reference series speakers. I got horrible cracks and pops out of the speakers. I had reached the summit of my knowledge and took it to the "pros". They disassembled everything and put it together for themselves, same thing. They told me the unit had to be bad.
Summary: Installed in a Toyota Tacoma the unit is recessed making faceplate removal a 2handed affair. Head unit & remote do control an ipod, but it is unpredictable. Bluetooth works well with my Samsung phone, it does Mute playing audio rather than pausing it. If the vehicle is shut off mid-call, the call is NOT disconnected. If the vehicle is started mid-call the bluetooth will transfer it to the stereo. Buttons are quite small.
Summary: Let me explain this product in one sentence: A steal for the price. The deck is comparable to most on the market right now other than the fact that it has bluetooth built in. I was using the bluetooth with my phone in seconds - making calls, streaming music. I have read reviews elsewhere that complain about navigating through the menu, I find these complaints unsubstantiated.
Summary: I've owned quite a few cars and subsequently changed a few CD head units in my time. Recently I changed my car to a BMW 3 series and it comes with a built in business head unit which actually isnt that bad as a normal FM radio and cd player but I wanted more as I have an ipod and wanted to play music in the car. I went to Halfords and spotted this JVC KD BT11 for £130 at the time. It had been reduced from £149.
Pros: good quality, good sound, easy to use, bluetooth, and cheap
Summary: This is a fantastic stereo for the money, at £146 at argos its value for money, however at Halfords this can be bought for only £120, and they will fit it for you too for an extra £20. This stereo gives you basically the same features that a basic Parrot kit will give you for just £20 more than the parrot kit itslef and for that money you are getting a new stereo too!
Pros: Bluetooth is fantastic, lots of features
Cons: JVC's can be unreliable, however this is usually cheaper models
