Summary: At first I was very happy, it worked well, then Apple lunched IOS 5 and goodbye bluetooth connectivity, no calls, no music, nothing. The forum at apple only shows angry post and clarion, well, doesn't have a forum, twitter account, online customer service or anything similar. Finally last week it broke completely (less than a year of using it), it pulls up the volume to the top as if someone was pushing the button, if I lower it with the remote it goes up again.
Summary: A warning to anyone looking to buy this product and has an iPhone 4 or 4S on iOS 5, the bluetooth will not work!!! Many Clarion FZ709 owners like me were happy using their iPhones via bluetooth, until they upgraded their iPhones to iOS 5 (or bought a new iPhone 4S). Now bluetooth will not stay connected for more than a second or two. Apple says the new iOS is following bluetooth standards, and Clarion needs to fix it. Clarion says they cannot fix it.
How is it possible for this to get such good reviews?

Summary: I've been using it for about 8 months now. I can't wait to go back to a better brand like my Alpine in my other vehicle. The good. Bluetooth call quality is excellent (Samsung Galaxy S) Streaming Pandora works great That's it! The bad. WAY to many things to list. The display looks terrible and dim. It runs as hot as a device with moving parts. The buttons work sometimes. It is VERY unintuitive.
Summary: The radio was great for about a minute. It went out right after I put it in. The seller was great and fixed everything for me. Very good feel and works great for my radio cooler. Bluetooth was great.
I always replace with different brands. BUT, I would buy this deck again.

Summary: Very pleased with my new FZ. I bought this deck to replace my blown Pioneer deh-5100ub. I love the features, and I love the fact that I don't have to carry around a bunch of scratched up cd's anymore. This deck comes with everything but an expansive eq, (only 3 band). But I run all my own externals so that doesn't really make a difference. I gave this 5 stars because so far the performance and user friendly interface of this deck are flawless.
Summary: I bought this radio as I wanted a 'media receiver' and this looked great and had the features I wanted at a great price. I like the smooth flat face (no bumps/buttons) as well as the display/key illumination. After browsing the manual the methodology of the keys was very straightforward (no pun intended). The only dislike I have is that sometimes you have to touch a key twice, however I installed this like 20 minutes ago so experience will make it better I'm sure.
Summary: This is a good product. The sound is wonderful, and not to mention the hard drive usb hook up is the best in the class. It will hold up to 320 gbs of music. Whereas most usb harddrive radio only can hold 120gbs. The only issue is with the remote control, it will not allow you use the " list" function which allows you to search thru your folders to pick a specific folder for play, which is important if you have 320 gb hard drive.
Summary: I love how you can use your cellphone as your personal computer. I had the original Motorola portable cell phone (DynaTAC 8000X) when they first came out. If you had told me that I would be using them for streaming hi fidelity music to my car stereo I would have thought you wildly optimistic. Even if 20 years later. When I realized what the engineers were trying to accomplish (learned to hack Verizon Razrs), I started looking for a car radio--without cd player.
