Summary: When I bought this, more than 2 years ago, it was the best for the price. There was a newer model that did the same thing but was more expensive. Just because the model was a year older, I got an excellent price. It is very user friendly and has Aux port, USB port, CD and memory for 6x3 FM and 6 AM. Great sound quality with all sorts of effects.
Summary: The display on this unit slowly started fading and is impossible to see in daylight. The dimmer function does nothing. The unit is a year and a half old. Clarion has near zero customer support. The phone numbers are robots. I contacted my local service center. The fellow barely spoke english and was no help at all. The tone controls are useless and reset after each use. It is near impossible to navigate media on a USB device.
Summary: Pros: 1)Excelent sound quality 2)Front USB and plug in imputs 3)Easy scroll through files 4)Always legible screen 5)Individual buttons for next, previews, pause, and the wheel is just for volume Cons: 1)When you have 64GB of MP3 connected through USB, it can take a looooooooong time to find an specific album, it would be extremely usefull to have a browser. 2)It doesn't read Flac files, but I don't know any reciever that reads Flac files, so...
Summary: I'll keep this review simple: this product does all that it says it can do, and does it well. I installed it myself into a 2-speaker system in my Nissan Pickup. The sound is really clear and vibrant, and it is loud enough without distorting for me to listen to music with the windows rolled down at freeway speeds. If you plan to install this yourself then you will probably need a wiring harness.
Summary: This stereo does everything I wanted. I can play my Sansa Clip through the aux jack, and if I plug my Zune into the jack AND the USB port, it will charge at the same time! Got a great price from DiscountJungle.
Summary: I like this radio, It has plenty of features, including the USB jack(which charges an ipod) and AUX jack right on the front. The USB sometimes works with my iphone and other times it give me an error. Ipod works all the time. Aux jack also works well. This also has a detachable faceplate and the part with the USB and AUX jacks are not apart of the detachable part which is great because I never have to unplug anything.
Summary: Clarion as allways makes great radios. Pros Has everything you could ever ask for on a deck at a very small price. Nice power nice controls for usb and Ipod Cons Not the best looking deck (but for the price who cares Wish the fader and balance controls were a little easier accesable.
Summary: I love that you can plug your ipod into it and control it from the head unit. it is a well made unit with good screen visibility. it is however not the easiest or most user friendly model out there. i am used to just taking a head unit out of the box and being able to mostly control and manipulate it, but with this head unit i am going to have to break down and read the manual to figure out how to best use it.
Summary: Not very often is anything car audio a great value. This is certainly a great value. Sounds better than I ever imagined. I have a Nakamichi CD400 in my other car with a home made amp 9 from 41hz.com (absolutely amazing sound/imaging), but this thing being so cheap and easy to use is hard to beat at its price point.
Summary: The unit has descent sound. It's an inexpensive way to hook-up an mp3 player to an auto sound system. But the user-interface is very confusing. The UI is non-intuitive, very hard to learn, and just as hard to use. If you want to spend a mere $90 to play your mp3's and you don't feel the need adjust base/treble very often, then this is a unit you might like. However, if you like to adjust and control base/treble and such, get something else.
