  • Summary: Installed this in my 1995 Chevy truck and the features this radio has brings my old truck into the present with Bluetooth connectivity and an audio port for my android smartphone. Have had some issues with the Bluetooth not connecting all the time but overall great radio.

  • Summary: Pros: Good quality of sound. Easy to config (user friendly). Rear usb port (not in faceplate). Good Bluetooth quality. Cons: The microphone broke down after three months (replaced it with standard laptop hands free mic and it works fine). Do not support playing music through BT.

Good deck--works with iphone 5!

Gavin, Amazon
12 December 2012
  • Summary: I bought this head unit on another site. I was taking a gamble since the stereo is a few years old and I have an iphone 5 I want to use with it. I looked everywhere to find someone who could tell me if the cz500 would work with the iphone 5 or ios6 but couldn't find a single review. I took a gamble and bought the stereo anyway. I'm happy to say the unit DOES work with the iphone 5.

poorly executed design

Brian J Callahan, Amazon
24 November 2012
  • Summary: I have used this radio for over a year, and it has been a huge pain in the butt. 1) You constantly have to press the "D"isplay button to keep the clock showing. Even changing the volume reverts from clock to "AUX" or 89.5 or whatever. It is difficult to explain how annoying this is. 2) The clock is WAY fast. It gains at least 2 minutes per week. 3) The dimmed level is not dim enough: way too bright at night.

  • Summary: I bought this cheap radio to replace a stock one so I know my truck has a good antenna but for some reason that radio would be kind of staticky.

  • Summary: My brother, a proficient stereo installation/mechanic did me a huge favor and installed this sweet head unit. I was stoked and was bumpin' tunes like there was no tomorrow. The sound was amazing, the blue lights matched my car's interior lights and everything was sweet for one or two months.

great deal

Anthony, Amazon
13 April 2012
  • Summary: this stereo does everything it says it does. It took about 30 min to install and works great. I read some reviews about the mic not working but mine works and sounds like I'm useing the phone without hands free, so i'm told. I put the mic up in the dash by the speedo where it cant be seen and is out of the wind. Couldnt ask for anything more for under $100 I would buy it again. Oh it also bluetooths my phone AND music/youtube etc from my Sprint HTC.

You can find better

Amazon Customer, Amazon
31 January 2012
  • Summary: This is a frustrating radio. It basically works, but it fails on several things that ought to be easy. Autoconnect, as others have pointed out, doesn't work out of the box. It does not display the clock when the radio is off, and it switches out of displaying the clock to displaying the source even when it is on. There is no mute button on the radio (seriously--there is one on the remote, but nothing on the radio, and who actually uses a remote control when they drive).
