Boss 612UA MP3-Compatible Digital Media AM/FM Receiver
4 August 2013
Summary: Received a brown box refurbished unit and it worked perfectly. Was able to install it into my car easily and it produces great sounds and comes with a lot of features you would not expect from something in this price range.
Summary: I got this to replace the broken am/fm/cassette player in a company tractor. This works so much better, and was shorter than the original. It was easy to install, because the wiring harness was the same as the original.
Summary: This unit has really good value but obviously for the price you shouldn't expect top of the line. I bought it as a low cost unit that plays SD cards. For that it's been great. The radio is so so. You shouldn't have any problems with it fitting because it's a short deck thanks to the no cd player. That's worth a bit if you've ever tried to install a deck and it's just a little too long with the harness. I'll end up getting a better (i.e.
Summary: I ordered this head unit because I'm on a very tight budget and knowingiI'll be upgrading down the line. I wired it up and installed the head unit and the din-mount in my 1996 accord in less than 30 minutes. The only down side I have found is the lack of a CD player. The ability to use USB and SD cards make up for it though. I would deff reccomend this if you need a cheap radio with basic functions.
Summary: I installed it in my basement with four Pyle Home ceiling speaker 250 Watt each. Plays loud, without distortion, MP3's playing clear.Radio reception is good. No connection problems, connection diagram is clear and wires properly indicated. I will recommended this unit. I love it for a price.
Summary: First... why did I buy it: Needed a radio for my 1992 Jeep Wrangler. I looked around, didn't want to spend a lot of money. So with that being said. I found the Boss 642UA. Price was really great. I did some research and found the most everyone that had bought this loved it. - I have found that I love it too! Why? Simple to to install. The digital format is great. I transferred some songs to a SD card and then some other ones to a flash drive.
Summary: For a simple cheap upgrade from stock on my 1997 Saturn SL, This stereo delivered and more, The lack of CD support was only a minor hindrance considering how common SD cards are and how they have a greater capacity anyway. The stereo gave me further control over the output of my speakers, and over all looks better. The only problem is that the stereo doesn't fit properly in the harness the factory stereo had, and will have to be dealt with seperately.
