Summary: Nice receiver with enough power to push four smaller speakers in a stock vehicle setting. Very good sound as has been expected from ALPINE. I recommend you team up with a 4 channel amp and 6x9 rear with 6 1/2 fronts. As a stand alone, Really good sound while not blowing the budget! Teamed up with some Kicker speakers and a 4 channel amp - very nice system that is still affordable!
Summary: ALPINE PRODUCTS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN GREAT AND THIS MODEL IS NO EXCEPTION. I HAD IT PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED IN MY 1983 PORSCHE 944, ALONG WITH FOUR NEW ALPINE 4" SPEAKERS. THE SOUND IS CLEAR WITH LOTS OF POWER.
Summary: Great receiver as always by alpine. Was easy to install and was a outstanding upgrade from my factory radio. I considered this to be a great deal as the price was cheap and the shipping was cheap. I would recommend this to everyone.
Summary: Receiver is awesome. Very tunable and looks great. I only use a usb drive to listen to music, so i have no idea how good the signal is that comes in through fm stations. If you want the last radio you will ever buy... Get this one.
Summary: First off, I was a huge fan of Alpine in the late nineties. They were awesome pieces of equipment back then, and going by that.... Figured I'd buy a new one after not having a car for 10+ years. CD functionality is good. Sound quality is good but not excellent. My main gripe with this thing is the MP3 functionality, A.K.A the main function I bought it. For some odd reason it does not play files in order by file name or track number within a folder.
Summary: I bought this unit on Crutchfield about two years ago for my 2001 Civic. I got it so I can play my iPod via USB and now I'm using my phone via the AUX. It has pretty much all the features you need and expect to find except Bluetooth but I didn't need that. This unit definitely made my whole system sound better. The highs are a lot crispier and vibrant and the sound in general sounds cleaner. It's a little weak on the low-end however compared to my stock head unit.
Summary: Pros: -Great iPod/iPhone support -Color display -Easy to navigate -Great sound quality -External HDD/Flash drive compatible (formatted with FAT32) Cons: -No Aux. Line in (unless purchased separate and swapped for the iPod/USB cable) -No CD Player (I didn't care, but some people still use disk based media)
