Awesome system with easy to use features

Christopher C Soriano, Amazon

  • Summary: Awesome system with easy to use features. I would suggest checking crutchfield to ensure proper fitting for your vehicle. If your in the San Diego area head to Al & ED's Autosound in La Mesa. These guys deliver quality work and very helpful in understanding how to operate your new system!

Alpine CDE-W235BT

Rick Deee, Crutchfield
20 March 2014
  • Summary: It looks great in my 1995 Acura Integra! The display, even though it looks low-tech, I can see it well in bright sun light. I love the positive feedback of the buttons when it's being pushed. An excellent combination between form, fit, and functionality. It looks great in older model vehicles!
  • Pros: It looks great in older model vehicles!
  • Cons: The dash kit that comes with the radio didn't fit my vehicle.

Great look and sound

Grayson, Crutchfield

  • Summary: The unit was quick to install and required no modification to my vehicle. Compared to my previous aftermarket unit, this one powers on much quicker, feels more premium, is very responsive to key presses, integrates well with external amps, and provides lots of settings to fine-tune your listening experience. To all Android/other mobile OS users curious about the 1.27.00 firmware update, an Alpine rep informed me the update is for iOS only, so don't bother with it.
  • Pros: -Has a clock!!! -Bluetooth quality is good and takes only seconds to connect (contrary to other reviews that said it was slow) -Accessory mic is very good and easy to install (I clipped it on my a-pillar) -Display dims at night -Simple interface, enough buttons, easy to operate without taking your eyes off the road -Power-up is quick -Separate subwoofer and bass control -Radio reception is good -High pass and sub low pass filters
  • Cons: -The trim kit was a very tight fit (tighter than my previous aftermarket double-din unit) -Bluetooth occasionally will stutter if switching tracks quickly If I had to nitpick: -Volume increments are too big (10 is quiet, 20 is loud) I would prefer the adjustment to be finer, my previous unit was quiet at 8 and loud at 40.

  • Summary: Great unit with many features and EASY to use. Typical Alpine quality without the disco lights found on some other brands. I am old school and a musician and prefer good quality sound and I am very happy with this stereo.
  • Pros: Clean, articulate sound. Great features such as bluetooth,Usb,etc. No Disco lights like the pioneers!
  • Cons: Can't really think of any, I love my new stereo!

  • Summary: Replaced factory Boss in 2004 Miata Listened to other reviews and did not replace speakers works Great! Sound a big improvement could use some more bass but that would be a sub. Didn't hear back speakers w factory unit now great.

  • Cons: Slightly flimsy knobs but same for all units checked plastic adapter frame looked cheap but worked I doubt I could get it out w/o breaking
