Absolutely a steal for the price - worth much more!

Summary: If you aren't looking to spend $400 or something, look at this unit! Under $100 and great features and sound. It'll push a stock system as is or add an amp for a really nice sound! I like this head unit + an amp + Polk Speakers - you can do all that for the price of a more costly head unit, and the Alpine/amp/Polk will blow the other system away! Very reliable, very good sound, input for auxillary (cell phone) and usb for flash drives (memory stick).
Summary: In my opinion this deck is at least on par with or probably superior to any entry level kenwood the audio stores sell... Installation took 5-10 minutes and was my first install. I'm considering purchasing another to replace the stock deck in my wife's car. Great stereo and great price!
Summary: I am in the middle of the install so I was going to register the unit with Alpine and started looking for the serial number. The serial number panel on the outer box has been cut away and the serial number on the head unit has been etched off. So is it new or not? Obviously not a reputable dealer or they would have noted that this equipment could not be registered with the manufacturer. Should have registered the product before I got my car taken apart.
Summary: This is a basic deck. It does not have all those unnecessary bells and whistles. It is easy to use and sounds very good. Very user friendly. I have owned other brands..Alpine is superior in every way.
Summary: I like the simple interface and easy readout. While it's not the fanciest of head units, it has the right outputs for our amp and subwoofer and a simple iPod interface that works perfectly. Nice solid rocker.
Summary: I just finished installing this on a 2005 Subaru Impreza RS. The installation process was straightforward, but I did need to purchase a wire harness to attach the Alpine's wires to the Subaru's. Overall, it is a fairly complete package that won't overload you with gadgets. Pros: - affordable and looks good (isn't too flashy) - above-average build and sound quality - well lit display with enough information being shown at once - quick response times Cons: - when operating...
Summary: It was time to upgrade, and have USB and iPhone/iPod capability. I didn't need BT or too many other bells/whistles. This unit delivers, and it has features I hadn't thought of (3 band EQ in addition to typical bass/mid/treble adjustment), separate overall volume settings for different inputs (tuner, aux, usb, for example), and the "Fav" setting lets you access your most used input source with one button instead of navigating through any menus.
Summary: gift for my daughter, so I don't have long-term experience with its performance. upon installation (took 5 minutes by a pro), it was simple and elegant in appearance, intuitive to use, sounded great.
