Summary: As an car audio fan for 23 years now I have been loyal to Alpine. I bought a CDE-100 just a little over a year ago. Two weeks after the warranty ran out it started shutting off or just not coming on at all. I have an Alpine CDA-9807 that's over 10 years old and is still going. The quality of their products just isn't there anymore. As a lifelong fan I am very disappointed in Alpine and will never buy another one. I purchased a different brand and am very happy with it.
Summary: The alpine works fine but the only reason I purchased this is because of the USB n aux, which the USB DOES NOT WORK at all. Am so upset from this n it was a gift too. Next time maybe need more detailing for the consumers to know the facts on what their really buying.
Summary: I installed the player a year ago. It's a fairly basic player, but the sound is good. It has enough power to run 4 speakers with decent bass. I bought it for the MP3 player attachment through the AUX input, and it works fine with my iPod. The player looks good, and the display is a pleasant blue color. Some units have too many flashing lights and scrolling displays for me, this one has a simple straightforward look that I appreciate.
Summary: I replaced my factory installed radio which was eating CD's and had no other input (no aux, no usb, no ipod, etc) with this stereo. I love this stereo. It sounds so much better than the factory installed one. I love being able to play CD's again, as well as hook up my iPhone with an Aux cord. Mostly though, I use a USB stick that I transferred my favorite songs on to. With the USB, I get to set it up how I want to see it on my computer as far as Title, Album, etc.
Summary: I bought this to replace my factory stereo on a 96 civic. The main reason i bought it is because you can plug a usb flash drive into it and have it play songs from it. The usb drive is much easier than playing cds. I sometimes hook up my phone to the aux in to play pandora.
Summary: This little car stereo is EXCELLENT! Bought it as a birthday gift for my teenage daughter, and after I installed it, I liked it so much I've considered getting one for myself! It is attractive, and the sound is quality (even with factory speakers!
Summary: I had an alpine cassette deck before this. Tape deck died years ago. THe sound of the new one is great. I love the flash drive player. My entire cd collection one one small thumb drive over 1000 songs. Some of my old music on disc has come back to life. It is a great deck in my opinion. I can also play cassettes using the audio in jack from my walkman.
