Great head unit

mr_keys123, Ebay
5 June 2011
  • Summary: I purchased this for my son who is a car stereo buff. The built in digital processing let him remove the large 31 band EQ and crossover from his system. I listened to it after he had it finished and the time alignment actually dialed in a cleaner sound!

Two cars, two CDA-9887's.....

sedunster, Ebay
5 April 2011
  • Summary: I sold car and home audio for years. I now drive 50k miles a year doing service work and spend hours on the road every week. Poor sounding, stock stereo systems are not tolerable. Over the years, I have owned five or six Alpine head units, never had a service issue and always had good experiences. Before the CDA-9887, I had never fallen in love with a head unit. I saw the Imprint advertised a few years ago and thought "that looks cool, gotta have it, neat toy".

Awesome Stereo and Highly Recommended!

vampire-lestat, Ebay
13 February 2011
  • Summary: Since 1997, I have been using brands like Kenwood, Clarion and Eclipse for stereos and just a week ago, I installed this stereo along with the kce-400BT, iPod Cable, 2 pairs of Alpine sps-406, Alpine mrp-f200, Alpine mrp-m350, and custom box made loaded with a 12 inch Kicker C12 sub. The CDA-9887 sounds great stock but to really make it sound amazing, Pick up the KTX-100EQ *Imprint* and really see how awesome Alpine is.

Alpine CDA-9887 head unit review

nick10923, Ebay
2 January 2011
  • Summary: This head unit offers excellent control over all if not most music parameters. You'll have to get used to the functions and getting to them, its not as easy as lets say a Pioneer head unit. The faceplate is a tad more difficult to put back on when compared to other brand head units, just something that takes some time getting used to.

27 August 2010
  • Summary: It does what you want it to do. Sounds great, bluetooth/ipod/BT audio connections are a MUST. I am running $500 MB Quart in front and $400 MB Quart's in back straight from the deck and it is loud/clear! Can't wait to amp them!

This is an audiophile's wet dream

andressandovalbaez, Ebay
6 November 2009
  • Summary: I upgraded the Bose OEM stereo on my 2008 Nissan Rogue to the CDA-9887 and it was like switching from AM to CD quality of sound. Don't get me wrong, the bose stereo was pretty sweet, but this is ridiculous, it takes great sound to a whole new level. Doing all the adjustments is quite the hassle, and I feel like I need to be some kind of engineer to tune the damn thing, but once it's done... it's magic. The iPod interface is quite nice too.
