I have to step back and laugh at alot of what I see going on in today's mobile audio market. In my opinion, so many people lose sight of the importance of excellent sound quality in their cars- you can spend tons on a home system, WELL JUSIFIABLY- after all, the acoustic environment in your home is alot more controllable and predictable than your car's!!! this is a solid cd/mp3/wma player. It reads the mp3's and starts playing very quickly (14 seconds) where other brands take close to 20-30 seconds. scrolling through the MP3's is easy with the useof the rotary control. spinning it quickly lets you can go up and down the songs fast. This unit has it all. You can always count on alpine to deliver the very best head units. This is my third alpine h/u and is by far the best. I upgraded to this from the cda-7893 for the mp3 playback. Read more

After listening to a lot of different cd players trying to decide what to buy, I finally called my dad, to have him send it to me. Not many cd players have the features that this one has. It is simply the best! The fact that you can hook it up to stock speakers, and make them... Read more
