Summary: Great amp, works well, tremendous power output, puts out more than the rated power, crossover works very well, power hookups are solid , sound qaulity is great, small amp yet it doesnt get hot
Summary: I purchased this amp to replace an old Coustic 190 that blew out. It is currently connected to a custom box with 2- 15 woofers, 2- 3x7.5 piezo tweeters and 2- 3.5 mids. The sound from it is awesome, the install + tweaking was quick and easy and it looks great on the box.
Summary: The P400-4 is perfect for 4-way front-stage/rear-fill or 3-way front-stage/subwoofer systems. Simply drop a pair of component speakers on the front channels and subs on the rear and BOOM - you got "The PUNCH." With its flexible design, the P400-4 is an excellent amplifier choice for virtually any vehicle.
Summary: pros: Good looking amp. very versatile with 4 or 2 channel setup, i use it 4 channel plenty of power, spec sheet from factory measured 72 watts X 4 up from it's rating of 50 watts X 4. lowpass or highpass filters for each set of 2 channels, so this could run a pair of fronts and a subwoofer. Cons: controls are small and hard to see for me, if you screw this to the floor you have to lay your head on the floor to adjust settings.
Summary: Running one channel into 2 ohms and powering two 8" dvc subs - the other channel is running 4 6x8 mids/highs. The configuration of crossover frequencies, punch eq and gain can be tricky and it takes time to tune it correctly. Running both channels into 2ohms seems to not affect the amp (heat wise) what so ever. I definitely would recommend this amp to anyone.
