Summary: bought one spent lots of time on install and about a month later powered it up and heard a pop and smelled that burnt electrical smell. after taking it out I had it checked and the guy said it was toast. Amazon was great sent me out a new one and in it went. Again about a month later same thing. I only used both of them a few times. They seemed to have misspelled the amp, Pile is more appropriate.
Summary: 2000 watts not more like 1000 but it had the exact specs i needed for my setup so i bought it crossovers worked great it sounded good to the first summer i used it so the next spring i pulled the cover off my boat to clean it up get the dust out of it and get ready for summer so i was jamming away as i cleaned turned it off and went to the river the next day kicked on the radio and i got the dredded protect light checked everything looked good so when i got home pulled...
Summary: I've had Pyle products before (15" subs) in high school and was happy with them, but that was 20 years ago when in high school. I'm always skeptical of off brand electronics, but thought "its only $200, lets give it a whirl. Glad I did. I have the amp running 4 Infinity 6 1/2" reference marine 2 ways and a single Pioneer 12" bridged on channels 5/6. No head unit, using a mini stereo to rca cable to plug in the phone or ipod for simplicity.
Summary: Ive burned up 2 of these things and my buddy has fried 2. He is an electrical engineer and I'm a low voltage tech. This was not operator error. My system is 4 6X9 entry level marine rated Polk speakers and a Rockford Fosgate shallow mount 12 inch sub on the bridged sub terminals. My first one operated fine for about a week and one day the amp popped as soon as I powered it up and smoke came out. The power was halved.
Summary: Unit is so nice, sound is crazy clear. I used it with two tower speakers and 4 -- 250 watt flush mount speakers. Had to play around with the speaker combinations to get the right setup. Hooked it up like the instructions showed and sounded like junk. I finally after a week of fooling around with it got the correct setup. Now just love the sound and so does everyone else at the lake. When I fire the music up people come from all around to hear it clear sound.
