Correction For Power Issue

Doug Phillips, Amazon
13 July 2014
  • Summary: I am keeping this item listing as poor only to get attention to a solution that nobody provided me. If you hook up 12v to positive and the ground to negative and think you are done, you are not. You must put 12v to the REMOTE as well. This signal would come from the REMOTE or antenna wire on the radio. The manual is not very specific. If you think you have a DOA amp, make sure you put 12v to the remote as well as the normal positive connection. This made my amp work.

Its def waterproof

John, Amazon
29 March 2014
  • Summary: Great amp! I have this banging out 4 Polk Audio DB651 6.5-Inch Coaxial Speakers on my boat. Last summer I got caught in a bad storm and almost went down with the boat. The amp was completely under water for a good hour or so. Drained the hull, turned the radio back on and to my surprise, it worked!

About what I expected for the price.

Gabe A., Amazon
6 February 2014
  • Summary: I have no complaints, other than the power terminals are small. But it's only a 400W amp, so you don't need to run 00 cable to it. I use it to power the Pyle 8" marine sub in my '93 YJ jeep and it works OK for my music. It adds base, but not booming rap base.

23 November 2013
  • Summary: VERY WELL MADE! Waterproof/weather proof (meaning thick paint! = corrosion/rust no problem). I bridged it, hooked it to a POLK SUB. I'm really happy with the power for a small car. Adjusted the crossover and screwed it in. The work was in the prep. this amp was quick and easy. Price was good, I'm happy.

Good for Marine Sub

Jp, Amazon
18 June 2013
  • Summary: SO i bought this AMP to power my Rockford Fosgate M2 M210S4 Marine-Grade 10-Inch 500-Watt Subwoofer (White) This AMP gives some nice bass to it, although if you really want to kick in hard you should get a more reliable brand one. The AMP works fine, the gain really helps and overall im happy with its performance and byfar i have the best sounding boat in Granada, Nicaragua!
