Features

The Kenwood KAC-7204 is a Stereo/Bridgeable Power Amplifier featuring variable bass boost control (0-18 dB at 40Hz. The unit features MOSGET power supply, speaker-level input with signal sensing turn-on, Preamp-level inputs and outputs with a 40A fuse rating. The unit has an internal cooling fan. An 8-gauge power and ground leads is recommended during installation. The built-in high/low pass filters adjusts the amplifier output during playback through the speakers or subwoofer combo, with variable base allow a dial in up to 18 dB of bass boost. The front-mounted control allows users to tweak the sound with a front-side connection set-up. Signal sensing turn-on and speaker-level inputs allow the amplifier to hook up to factory radios that don't have preamp outputs.

    How do you get my Kenwood KAC 7204 Amplifier to not run so hot? I have mine mounted inside my trunk, lifted a little bit up away from the trunk liner but It gets so hot its hard to handle. Is there anything I can buy to keep it cooler?

    the 7204 is not a class D amplifier,if you only have one dvc sub wire it up 4ohm to 1 channel and 4 ohm to the other. if your looking for big power,buy another 7204 ,and run each channel of the sub 500w to each coil. running this amp at 2 ohm mono will damage your amp and possibly your
