Summary: Given that it's a premium product, I have high expectations for it. I put this in 2014 Honda CRV. I used an Audio control DQ61 unit to integrate it into the OEM stereo. This is an upgrade from a Sony Explode, class A/B amplifier. Contrary to what Sony's reputation is, the amplifier has served me well on my previous vehicle, for eight years. However, the previous build utilized Pioneer 8ohm speakers. The infinity Kappa speakers that I'm currently using, run at 4Ohms.
Summary: The product works just as it should. It is a D class amp, small package, and provides what you want. The seller also packaged it in a shipping safe box and insured it with everything possible to ensure you got the package in perfect condition and ensured it went to me at my door. 5/5 without doubt. Will buy from this seller again if I ever need anything from them again!
Summary: This amp was professionally installed to run 5.25 and 6.5 component speakers replacing OEM speakers. There have been no issues to date with the amp. It runs consistently and powers the speakers well. Sounds levels are much better than the OEM system and the quality is likewise improved. I much prefer sound quality to quantity, even in an auto. However, this amp provides more than enough loudness to cut through road noise without distortion.
Summary: I've owned Alpine, MTX in the past and their good amps but this JL Audio is by far the best I've owned so far, very clean sound, compact, makes my Focal speakers sound fantastic. I'm a JL Audio fan now. Highly recommend.
Summary: It is expensive, and worth every penny. plenty of power on hand, and fairly bulletproof. You will not blow this amp even if you accidentally short the speaker leads. Only drawback is if you mount in a close enclosed area like under the carpet. It needs airflow to keep cool, and is best mounted in an open space. I mounted mine on the underside of the rear deck in a Mustang.
Summary: I needed a new amp for my car and i love JL products . Im convinced this is a JL outside with counterfit internal components because of the static lact of clarity. My 240 watt alpine sounds much better than this 400 watt "JL". Only 3/4 of the channels worked.
Summary: I'm using this to drive a pair of Polk MM571's and a pair of JL C5-650 Components. Had it Tuned with an OscilloScope, and it put up fabulous 4 Ohm numbers at just below Clipping. (82 W RMS) and LOW distortion. Owners Manual went into nice detail for a wide variety of installation applications.
