The Alpine PDX-1.600 is a 1 channel mono power density amplifier with 4 or 2 Ω speaker impedance, RMS Power Ratings per channel of 600W x 1 at 4 Ohms and 2 ohms (at 14.4V ≤1%THD+N, 20Hz - 200Hz). It has a 50-200 Hz sound tuning crossover at -24dB /octave with low-pass/high-pass selection. The unit’s heat sink unit measures 257 x 192 x 62 mm and requires a power supply of 14.4V DC (11V to 16V). It has an input sensitivity of 0.1V to 8.0V (For Rated Power) and frequency response of 20Hz - 200Hz (20Hz/-3dB). The signal to noise rating is 80 dBA for CEA 2006 S/N Ratio (IHF A Weighted, Reference: 1W into 4Ω).

Features

The Alpine PDX-1.600 is a 1 channel mono Channel Power Density Amplifier with a one-sided terminal layout and quick disconnect terminals. It delivers the same power output of either 2Ω or 4Ω loads, providing system flexibility and subwoofer configuration diversity. The unit features integrated wire and mounting screw terminals and is designed for stacking. It features a Class-D (Switch Mode Digital) that produces less heat, eliminating the need for large heat sinks. It has thermal management control and fast switching, low impedance direct fets. The unit utilises a DC-DC PWM Power Supply with STAR board circuit. A Feedback Circuit compares the amplifier’s output against the original music signal. If there are any differences found between the two, the feedback circuit automatically removes the distortion in real-time, keeping music to the original recording without added distortion or filter noise. The unit also features auto over-current protection and has top mounted blue LED power/status indicator. Other features are non-fading pre-amp output, adjustable high pass, low pass crossover, gold pated input, output, power and speaker terminals and a discrete pre-amp stage. A combination of an advanced power supply, Class-D design, and switch-mode digital amplification allow PDX amplifiers to stay extremely efficient at all power levels. This produces less heat, eliminating the need for large heat sinks, just another reason why they can be much more compact than conventional amps.
