Summary: For me, the amp does its job. Sometimes for 30 minutes. Sometimes for an hour and a half. This is caused from overheating which is probably from from low ventilation since I have the amp installed under my back seat, but there is some air space under there. I would recommend a newer, not discontinued amp to anyone out there looking. As I said, it does its job, and I am satisfied with it (besides the random overheating).
Summary: I have 2 of these amps and they r CRAZY!!!! deliver a lot of power and at the same time very clean bass...thy r a lil power hungery but an extra bat will fix tht...and thy get a lil warm but nothing to worry about. absolutaly the BEST amp for its class and higher classes....plus its exreamly simple to use and hook up. and thy look really cool with the end caps to hide the wire terminals and its matt black finish..
Summary: I bought my Alpine MRP-M1000 amp about 2 months ago. I have it pushing two Alpine type R 12's. It works great and it's much cheaper than some of the other higher end amps. I have 4 ohm speakers so I don't get the full 1000 watts only 600. If have 4 ohm speakers and want the full 1000 watt power I recommend getting the Alpine PDX 1.1000 It will cost you and extra $100 - $150 but if you have the money to spare it is well worth it.
Summary: Awesome amp with lots of power. I paired this amp with the Alpine MRP-F600 and they both sound amazing. I find my self taking the long way home just so I can be in the car longer to listen to music. Do yourself a favor and pick up this amp you'll love it. You may also want to check out Alpine's higher end subwoofers and door speakers as well. Happy listening!
Summary: I bought the amp pretty cheap on ebay so definitely it was worth the money. It is rated at 1000rms watt at 2 ohm and it makes my 12'' L7 pound like crazy. I seriously was thinking to get 2 L7 b/c one of these day, the amp would blow that sub apart. I listen to music a lot b/c I drive long distance, and so the amp never over heat. It would just get warm, but that it. Over all, amp is awesome!
Summary: i had a jl 300/4 pushing a set of focal 690cvx and focal component 6.5 v1's. and a 500/1 pushing one directed 10 dvc. it sounded good but for the rep. that JL has for being the best i did not see why. i talked to a guy at a local stereo shop and he said JL was over priced, he told me that he used to sell JL and the return rate was substantually high. he suggested i try alpine.
Summary: I like this amp. It is a great amp, especially for the money. This amp powers my Kicker CVR's in a ported box great. Its a great match up too. I bought it here because the price was unbeatable. The amp arrived in great shape and packaging. All of the original pagaging and supplies were there. The amp also arrived in just a couple of days. I think Alpine makes great equipment. I am going to be keeping my eye on them for future purchases.
