INEXPENSIVE, USEFUL, AND CONVENIENT

ajacobs2, buydig.com
6 December 2013
  • Summary: Lightweight inexpensive unit for smaller DSLRs when the heavier gear is not needed. It's kept in the car so it will always be handy for grab shots versus the $250-350 plus Gitzos and RRS brought in and kept in the house. Iam ordering two more to make into light weight booms for small strobes.
  • Pros: Good backup, Inexpensive, Light Weight
  • Cons: none

A leg to stand on

Milo A, buydig.com
29 September 2013
  • Summary: This is a good sturdy monopod. I will not hark on the benefits and uses of a monopod, however this one has some very nice features for the price, including some that are only available as options on more expensive models. For DSLR or 35mm camera work, there should be no issues with weight, with heavier cameras it is still satisfactoy. Includes a spike and rubber foot, field adjustable, strangely not mentioned much.
  • Pros: Dual Purpose Foot, Lightweight, Sturdy
  • Cons: No quick release head, Not very compact
