Great for Travel

ExBrit, B&H Photo
9 February 2015
  • Excerpt: This is not a robust heavy-duty monopod (I have one of those), but it's perfect for an upcoming trip because it weighs almost nothing and collapses down to a very easily stashed accessory. I just wish it were about 10" longer when fully extended -- which would be eye level.
  • Pros: Compact, Easy to Use, Lightweight

  • Excerpt: I bought it to use as a prop, to take the place of a kickstand for a new carbon frame bicycle. Performs well. Plan also to hook it on my belt to take along when using telephoto lenses on my Panasonic GH1.
  • Pros: Compact, Easy to Use, Lightweight

Nice concept, fair quality

24 May 2011
  • Excerpt: Nice lightweight, decent height monopod. Unfortunately after using it for a week one of the plastic bits that sit in the end of each tube managed to loosen up. This allowed the end tube to come free from the monopod itself.
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight
  • Cons: Poor quality, Unstable Joints

A fantastic monopod for Micro 4/3

Bacpac, WEX
11 August 2013
  • Summary: The M50 has already proved to be a great support for my Lumix G5 when out walking. It's light and easily fits into a small backpack. When combined with a lightweight head, it can be left attached to the camera if needed and locked off parallel with the lens.
  • Pros: Compact, Easily Adjusted, Lightweight, Locks In Tight, Quickly Deployed
