Excerpt: The locks of the legs tilt are very fragile. I already have two of them broken, as visible in the image below. It is also too short determining that opens the central column, less stable.I sent an email to the manufacturer requesting action but not getting any response yet.
Excerpt: Supposedly there are only two kinds of tripods, lightweight, easy to carry ones and good tripods. This tripod is in the latter category, because even though it is carbon fiber, it is a pretty large tripod, and therefore a bit cumbersome. I have a collection of tripods, accumulated over the years, as I began to see the importance of using one. This is by far my favorite.
Pros: Good Stability, Lightweight, Unfolds Quickly
Summary: I bought this tripod to replace my 3 years old aluminum Manfrotto 190XPROB which has configurable center column orientation (either vertical or horizontal) which is pretty handy for macro photography. The biggest complain I had with this tripod was the weight, load capacity, no solid counter-weight features, and is pretty cold to handle in winter time.
Pros: Lightweight, cost effective, multi angle center column, low angle photography, comes with bag and stone bag
Excerpt: I'll start with my only complaint. The tripod is a bit large when closed. I know at some point I'll get a travel tripod but right now I've carried it along with a camera, and 3 lens for almost a whole day of walking in NYC. Taking it cross country on an airplane, we'll see. After that it's all good. I am 6'2" and this is more than tall enough for me. The key feature is adaptability.
Pros: Adjustable, Good Stability, Includes carrying case, Lightweight, Unfolds Quickly
Ordentlich verarbeitetes Stativ mit leichten Schwächen
26 August 2014
