I love this tripod!

PAT, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I don't like ball head tripods, and have been looking for this kind of head for a long time. We got it for my son,and although I have a couple of video tripods, Iam thinking about getting one of tthese for myself because I find this system to be very intuitive to use for still photos.
  • Pros: Accurate, Adjustable, Easy to install / use, Good in any weather, Good value, Lightweight

High Quality Tripod. Not ideal for Video

  • Excerpt: I use this with my Canon 7D Mark II. Incredible Tripod for taking pictures. For videos I find the Panhead not fluid enough for moving around while recording videos. If you plan on keepin gin fixed position, it is a great Tripod.
  • Pros: Adjustable, Good value

Light Weight

  • Excerpt: This tripod is great for Optics such as Spotting Scopes and Binoculars. The Panhead move smoothly to allow searching. It is light weight and easy to expande the legs. If you want a tripod for Photography get a different panhead with the 264 series.

Poorly designed panhead

  • Excerpt: The tripod itself is sturdy and decently designed. The problem relates to the panhead. The worst possible idea they could have was put the tension lock for both the tilt and pan on the same knob. This prevents you from locking only one axis at a time for any normal pan shots.
  • Pros: Sturdy tripod
  • Cons: Horrible tiltpan deign
