Excerpt: Brought this tripod to replace my ancient Slik three way pan head. I researched for weeks to pick the perfect tripod for my needs. It came down to ball or the pistol grip head. Now I got a lot of bad feedback on pistol grips but I came across some very interesting facts on this one.
Pros: Easy to use, Has Some Nice Features, Holds Rock Steady, Strong Construction, well made
Excerpt: I use the tripod in a variety of ways taking pictures. I have used them taking pictures of deer and other animals on our property. When Hiking it is so study and easy to set up anywhere. Tripod pistol grip is easy to use. The ability to set up at various degrees works great for taking certain shots.
Pros: Strong Construction, Works Well With Glasses
Excerpt: This is a very versatile tripod system. The only problem is it doesn't support nearly half of the advertised weight. I use it with a canon 5D II + 24-70mm zoom lens. The head will not hold its position even at the highest tension setting. It slips and falls forward under the weight of the camera.
Excerpt: This is my first pistol-grip and I absolutely love it. Extremely simple to use. Very sturdy. Works very well for portraits if you are constantly trying to get different camera perspectives. Easily supports my 5Dm3 with a 70 - 200 attached.
Pros: Easy to use, Fast, Good Stability, Lightweight
