Summary: This small tripod is compact and lightweight, and fits in any small backpack. Great for hiking and traveling. But it's flimsy, fragile. Setup is very fast, I just untangle the elastic cords and shake it, and it's ready to use. I also bought a quick-release accessory for it.
Summary: A bit of background. I'm a total amateur photographer, I bought this for a hiking trip I was going on so I didn't have to carry a heavy tripod around to take solid pictures with the remote control. The pros: -Super lightweight -You can easily use the straps that keep it closed up to strap it onto something (like the side of a hiking backpack) -It is quick to setup -It is fun to setup, who doesn't like to unstrap it and shake it and watch it build itself out!
Summary: Tamrac ZipShot Mini 28" is flimsy and pretty useless. Maybe Ok with pocket cameras but cannot be used with anything else. Am going to donate it to a nursery school - may be good for making a small tent.
Summary: This tripod is very convienyent to take any where you go.It doesn't add much weight to the equipment you are taking with you.It is very easy to open it just give it a wrist snap and it is ready to go.
Summary: Great tripod. Easy to set up and extremely unobtrusive for traveling. It's stable enough in firm surfaces or sand with a sony slt-a65 and 18-270 lens attached. Not suitable for long exposures if there's any wind but very useful otherwise. Ballhead is fast and easy to lock in place even pointing upwards. I definitely recommend it for travel, if you need long exposure times use a sturdier tripod instead.
Summary: It's a sweet little thing that I like carrying with me. Very light weight and easy to set up and use, but it is definitely not a "real" tripod - it's not very stable and has a fixed height. Still, I like it better then most compact tripods I previously owned. I use it with a DSLR with a small fixed lens on it. I wouldn't use it with a DSLR with a zoom lens attached.
Summary: Its a great, small little tripod. Easy to whip out and tuck away again. But I didn't do my research and bought the small one instead of the taller version of this tripod. An important lesson in not shopping on price alone. I might contact the seller to ask for an exchange, but I might just keep it because of its size it does fit my camera bag almost perfectly. And I'm not the kind of person to trouble another person for my negligence.
