Best Monopod I've had

Adorama
27 May 2014
  • Excerpt: The quick release latches make set-up and break-down a snap. Nearly instantly I am set up and my friends are still twisting on all three sections of their monopods and trying to get the height setting correct. They are the ones that look at me and comment on my system. This is my second one and they are great.
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Opens Quickly, Strong Construction

Great Monopod-Solid Hiker

McD, B&H Photo
5 March 2014
  • Excerpt: Id picked this up for my father a year ago so that he could test run it for me. He loved its solid design, and ease of use. Also was a great walking stick hiking the rugged trails around Phoenix. Now i have picked one for me and couldn't agree with him more. Solid, easy to use and supports a good amount of equipment as my camera is bit more heavy duty than my fathers. For the price, I didn't see anything out there comparable and as well built.

Had one and gave it away - got another

15 July 2013
  • Excerpt: the older version was heavier than the current product - with OS I thought I'd only need a tripod for those times when time exposure or extreme stability was an issue - I was wrong even with OS on all my lenses the monopod is still a viable tool. My only con is the older version came with a real nice custom fitted case (not a small tripod case but slimmer) - the current product does not and there is none offered as an option.
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Opens Quickly, Strong Construction
  • Cons: There Is No Custom Case L

Great Pod by Slik

The Architect who loves Photos, B&H Photo
12 January 2013
  • Excerpt: I decided to look into a pod that was made by Slik since I have a tripod from them that I am loving. This monopod is sturdy, well built, at a great height for me (6'1) and lightweight enough to carry around anywhere. I highly recommend.

Nice, stable platform for phtography

20 March 2012
  • Excerpt: So far I have used it for macro photography and it is a lot easier getting set than with a traditional tripod. I plan to use it for sports photography with my 70-200 f2.8 lens as well. While I've only taken a few test shots with that lens so far it is nice and the results are quite good. Love the toggles for lowering the leg. Perfect size for pretty much any photographic situation. It gets quite tall and also pretty close to the ground, both very helpful so far.

  • Excerpt: For two days, I carried this on my back in a backpack in NYC. Did not even know it was there. Used it several times and it worked perfect, especially for long distance shots in Central Park. Highly recommend this item.

Excellent product

  • Excerpt: I did lots of research on monopods before deciding on the Slik Pro Pod 600, and am not regretting it at all. So far I've only used it about three times and can honestly say that I don't have anything bad to say about it. For the amount of money you pay for this, you won't find a better product, very well built, easy to use, and so easy to carry around with it attached to my telephoto lense. Definitely a thumbs up!
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Opens Quickly, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Can't find any
