very light weight yet rigid and sturdy.

  • Summary: I use it as a walking stick as well as support for my digital camera and my Sony HDR-HC9 Handycam. I carry my video camera in a small shoulder bag and quickly attach it by means of a quick release device installed on the monopod. The height can be quickly adjusted for walking or shooting. I have installed a rubber cane tip over the end for more slip control. I enjoy using it for walking even when not doing photography.
  • Pros: Compact, Easily Adjusted, Lightweight, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement

  • Summary: This is my first monopod. After being in the store for quite a while checking out pods, this was the winner. It is worth the extra money for the light weight and durability. I don't mind the twist locks. They work fine for me. I guess it is a matter of preference for some people. So far, I've used it a few times and it has been great. I put my manfrotto 486 ballhead on it, but plan to buy one of the monopod heads that are a little smaller.

  • Summary: Love this monopod for its inherent strength and its compact collapsed size. Fits on my Lowepro Flipside 300 perfectly without protruding above it. Adds no noticeable weight to the carrying load. At less than 20oz, it is a perfect stabilizing travel buddy. Sliding strap anchor is nice, as it maneuvers smoothly around the circumference of the monopod head to avoid kinks and/or drops.

  • Summary: VERY solid, well made monopod that could be used as a walking stick, and great looking, as well. What is amazing is how light weight it is for something that feels so well made! I would highly recommend this in addition to a tripod as it is ready to go and so easy and quick to use.

Great lightweight monopod

  • Summary: Only 4 stars because I'd prefer a flip-type lock to lock each leg section into place. When extending or retracting mroe than one section at a time, you need both hands. That aside, its a very stable and lightweight monopod, feels very sturdy and solid.
