Solid, well-made, performs

  • Excerpt: It's a quality product and worth every penny. Very smooth pan. Versatile with three different leg settings, I particularly enjoy the ability to reverse the center-beam for close-in macro-shooting and document archiving. Bottom line is. . why put an expensive camera and lens on a flimsy base? Perfect for me; someone not a pro but looking to get more serious about photography. Some have complained that it is a bit heavy and that's true. .
  • Pros: Folds Small, Good Stability, Quality Parts, Smooth Pan, Unfolds Quickly, Versatile
  • Cons: Heavy

I had no trouble with this

  • Excerpt: Before I bought this tripod, I read some of the reviews. One of the reviews said it was heavy and Cumbersome. For me it is not. I had a easy time carrying it and I am not person that has any real muscles. I'm a tall, slim person. So its height has helped me, since I do not have to bend my back and knees to see through the viewfinder while using it.

Great Tool

Fred T, Adorama

  • Excerpt: I am very happy I bought this tripod. Its not too heavy, but offers a sound platform to shoot from. I often carry it through the park for 2-3 hours, its weight is about equal to my camera bag. My heaviest lens is stable on this, but when recomposing care is needed as its front heavy. <br />D5000, kit lens, 70-300, 50mm.
