Excerpt: I really like this tripod. It is light, sturdy and the perfect height. The thumb lock system seems strong enough and works well. The ability to remove the lower portion of the center column allows for adjustment almost near that of tripods with no center column.
Excerpt: I'm a beginner photographer and this is my first tripod. Good price for a lightweight tripod. I've used it on uneven surfaces already and the legs are pretty stable. Easy to take on hikes and folds down small. Working great so far! Camera seems very stable on the head.
Excerpt: The only negative on this tripod is that it didn't have a level (my oversight). It withstood uneven terrain and high winds with good results. Came with a carrying case. Well made, liked the ball head/pivot. Would buy again. Heavier than I expected but hiked around with it on my shoulder just fine.
Excerpt: This is a great tripod with a lot of adjustability. The leg ends are grippy and the tripod itself is very sturdy. It is easy to operate and I was impressed with how light/compact it is. When completely folded up, it is very easy to bring anywhere.
Pros: Adjustable, Compact, Good Stability, Lightweight
Excerpt: The biggest benefit of this tripod is that it fits in a carry-on bag with (some) room to spare (without the head on it of course). It's quite sturdy given that it collapses so small. The two big downsides that I can see are: 1. No weight hook on the center column. 2.
Excerpt: I purchased the 340DX to start a self portrait project. The tripod has met my need in ease of use and quick adjustment and is fairly light weight while securly holding my D7000. I am 5-2 so the height range works well for me.
Pros: Folds Small, Good Stability, Lightweight, Unfolds Quickly
