  • Excerpt: This was a gift from my wife, with a few hints from me. I have used this tripod to steady my d3100 with various lenses including the Nikon 55-300. It works great for my style of sunset shooting which sometimes requires a very low placement of the camera.

  • Excerpt: Great little tripod. I keep it in the trunk for backup and when I need to pack-it in. I've used it with a Nikon D90 and Nikkor 70-300 with good stability.

Slik Pro 340dx Tripod

goboulder, PriceGrabber
27 June 2006
  • Summary: Slik Pro 340dx is a relatively (!) cheap, lightweight, small, and sturdy tripod that I ever had. This tripod is the best for travel unless you have huge-diameter zoom lenses. It is lightweight and small.
  • Pros: Lightweight and Small, but sturdy.
  • Cons: a hook for more weight on the center column would give more stable standing.
