Stable at a bragain

IE, Adorama
11 June 2013
  • Excerpt: This is the 2nd of this model I've bought for our company. Used mostly for video, it is great for static scenes where you don't need to move the camera around. The pan & tilt motions can be a little sticky. But, once the camera is moving, the motion is fairly smooth.
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Quick adjustments
  • Cons: Head Movements Sticky

Good value for the price

  • Excerpt: I needed a tripod for multiple uses, and this one fits the bill. I have a guerrilla pochade that I use for plein air painting plus another attachable wooden palette that I use for workshops. Both attach easily onto the easel and are quite solidly supported.
  • Pros: Good Stability, Lightweight, Quick set up

Not So Smooth Movements

19 March 2011
  • Excerpt: Surprisingly, I've experienced smoother movement and locking head control on a less expensive model from another manufacturer. This tripod locks the legs in the spread position which I needed, and that my other tripod did not have.
  • Pros: Folds Small, Good Stability, Lightweight, Unfolds Quickly
  • Cons: Imprecise head control, Slow to lock

  • Excerpt: I use this tripod for still automotive photography. It is sturdy even with a Nikon 800-22 f/2.8 mounted. No shake, even has a built in level. Comes with a nice bag to carry it in. I would have paid more for this tripod. Best deal yet.
  • Pros: Folds Small, Good Stability, Lightweight, Portable, Stable, Tall max height, Unfolds Quickly

  • Excerpt: Pretty good Tripod. Sturdy, relatively short when folded up. Would have appreciated a spare piece to attach to the camera to.
