Summary: When I read " Difficult To Adjust, Heavy, Jerky Movement, Slips Out Of Position"I was shocked, heavy?? it clearly says the weight, it's the reason why I bought the item as its heavy. jerky? its as smooth as silk, slips out of position?
Pros: Easily Adjusted, Good Footing, Heavy, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement
Summary: I bought this as a tripod for my wife and as a back up studio tripod...it won't really do for either. It is is heavy which could be a plus in the studio except that the adjustments aren't good enough for studio work.
Cons: Difficult To Adjust, Heavy, Jerky Movement, Slips Out Of Position
Summary: The Slik Able 300DX is a relatively small and lightweight tripod for small to medium sized cameras and is ideal for use around the home. I bought it specially for use with a 'Digital Compact' camera, and for this it's perfect.
Summary: If stability and ease of use are what you're after then this is the chap ...as solid as they come, with all the flexibility most pictures will ever require ...not the lightest at around 2kg but hardly a burden.
Pros: Easily Adjusted, Good Footing, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement
Summary: I own a Nikon d60 and its a good camera. Buying lenses for it was a problem, too many choices but I eventually bought the sigma 18-200 lens, a beautiful piece of kit but very heavy.I had a lovely tripod but it couldnt cope with the weight of the lens when I turned it for portraits.WOW!
Pros: extremely sturdy no shaking even in high winds, proffesionally designed piece of kit., sensibly priced
Cons: not really a bad point but it is a little weighty
Summary: Very pleased with this item. Angle of the legs can be altered and the quick release works very well.I'm sure this tripod compares well to other more expensive units!Only minor niggle was that the picture on the site shows a differant tripod with padded legs which this does not have.
Pros: Great value for money, Simple to use, Very stable
