Small and smooth

Lee, B&H Photo
21 June 2015
  • Excerpt: I have this model from several years ago, and this one, while bigger (so my dismay) is still small and very smooth, all that's needed for any videographer using small DSLR or mirrorless cameras.

This works, and I would buy again.

Bob, B&H Photo
16 June 2015
  • Excerpt: I'm a novice, so this review is more for the beginner like me, or for anyone who has never used a fluid video head. I used this for just about any picture, still or moving. I haven't come across any reason I wouldn't use the video head and switch back to my ball head. Again, I am a novice.
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Large Range of Motion, Rock Solid With Fluidity, Strong Clamp

Pan overly tight

strongcat, B&H Photo
13 June 2015
  • Excerpt: The pan is extremely tight. Even after fully losening. Panning causes the tripod legs to lift off the ground. I'm hoping it losens up over time. I don't see how this is acceptable.

Perfect for a Slider!

29 May 2015
  • Excerpt: I purchased this Manfrotto fluid head to use with my glidegear slider & I'm really satisfied. I was concerned about purchasing a cheaper head, due to many of the complaints I had read. This head matches a manageable price point with quality construction.

  • Excerpt: Awesome tripod head. I do event videography and needed something to go on top of my manfrotto monopod. Super smooth, love the product. I had an older 701 fluid head that was discontinued. This new head has a different plate but it still fits in with my older 701!
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Large Range of Motion, Old 701 Plate Still Fits, Strong Clamp

Better videographer, B&H Photo
17 April 2015
  • Excerpt: I was looking for a monopod head for my dslr camera, but I wasn't sure what to buy for it. However, a salesperson at the tripod section helped me to find a right one for my dslr camera. He was very nice and seemed very knowable about the product.

Product missing parts

Mad customer in Kentucky, B&H Photo
9 April 2015
  • Excerpt: The head I received was missing two plastic parts. One holds the camera in place and the other one keeps the screw from falling out of the plate. You can buy bargain basement tripods with heads which don't have to be assembled by the end user.
  • Cons: Incompletemissing Parts
