Excerpt: the MVH500AH is a very compact and light tripod fluid head. If has a smooth tilt and pan. It can handle DSLR rights that aren't too have without any issues. Only issues is that manfrotto 501 plates don't work on this model. Other than that though it's a great from product from Manfrotto.
Pros: Compact, Good Stability, Light weight, Smooth motion
Cons: 501 Plate No Compatible, No Adjustment Knobs
Excerpt: This is a great, not too heavy, non-professional head. I only have one complaint which is the pan action is too tight. Loosening the pan knob makes no difference. Someone else had the same complaint and they said they popped off the knob and loosened it. I will try to do the same. Other than that this is a nice head.
Excerpt: I purchased this to shooting surfing from the beach. Used it yesterday for the first time and I'm very happy with the results. This was my first experience using a fluid head and I'm really stoked on the results. My video clips were super smooth which is pretty much the reason I purchased it in the first place. With the sale price and the rebate and don't think I could've possibly made a better choice for the money.
Excerpt: I bought this to work as a relatively lightweight head to use on a MiFoto travel tripod with my C100. It does this very well. While I wish there were adjustments for pan and tilt drag, the tilt lock actually does work to a limited degree in dialing in the right amount of drag. I would have loved it to have been just a bit smaller than it is, being that it has no adjustments, and I would really like the handle to extend longer as it's really short and this makes it...
Excerpt: I can give this product a five-star rating without any reservations. I purchased it for one purpose: to shoot smooth pan clips for a client with my DSLR, without having to buy a full video tripod package. It serves that purpose admirably. I was a bit concerned that there's no way to adjust the pan friction, but the drag is just about where it should be, anyway, and makes the panning easy. (Adjustable friction would cost more, of course.
Pros: Improves Performance, Lightweight, Professional Quality
