Summary: This Manfrotto monopod is the perfect compliment to my photographic needs. it is lightweight, easy to use, and handsome in its appearance. The price was just what I needed. Thanks, Best Buy, for offering such a great product. Great job!
Summary: Week 1 - with my new Nikon 80-200 f2.8 shooting my son's soccer match...great pix due to lens, but too many blurry pix due to lack of stability on the part of the photographer... Week 2 - with my new Nikon 80-200 f2.8 AND new Manfrotto 290 series monopod....78 pix taken at son's soccer match, only 3 blurry pix i.e.
Summary: I really like everything about this Monopod! It is the lightest, sturdiest, most compact monopod I have come across. It has a great feel with its padded handle and can also be used as a "walking stick" on your way to the perfect spot for your next great photograph.
Pros: This is the sturdiest compact monopod I have seen.
Summary: This is a quality product, if only a bit short in length for me( i am 5'7"). I found myself either lifting it up off the ground to use my viewfinder or hunching in a weird way- neither of which are good for stability- the whole purpose of the monopod! I should have went with a tripod to begin with, but this is a personal preference- for those looking for a monopod, this is a good one!
Pros: Great design, feels good in the hand. Solid construction.
Cons: Just a tad short in height. Had trouble trying to take a picture of the night sky.
Summary: Manfrotto just does it right and goes well with my Manfrotto tripod and this Mono pod holds my Eight pound Camera, long lens and battery grip with ease, Best Buy was exceptional as always and I bought it when on sale Half Off.
Pros: Light easy to use and can hold 8 pound with ease
Summary: Light weight, easy to carry and travel with. Perfect when space is limited. Works perfectly with my Canon 5D Mark III with 24-105 f/4L attached. Great build and great alternative when a full size monopod just isn't an option. Small enough to travel in a carry-on bag when flying.
Summary: This monopod is durable enough to fulfill its purposes and reasonably priced. If you need a monopod with a pan/tilt head, you'll need a more elaborate model. But if a basic monopod is all you need, this one proved itself a worthy investment on its first project.
