Questionable Longevity

Clifford Wolfstenhammer, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I was happy with the tripod initially. It was well suited to my needs and seemed of high quality construction. However after 6 months of relatively light usage I'm running into some build quality issues.
  • Cons: Unstable, Weak Construction

  • Excerpt: I use the tripod to hold a pochade box loaded for oil painting. The box is heavy, the tripod is strong. I'm very pleased with the performance and the features including the compact size, function and light weight. Thanks B&H and Manfrotto.

Love the Tripod

LDH, B&H Photo
6 May 2015
  • Excerpt: I purchased the BeFree and used it on my trip to San Fran in April. I wanted to use it for a lot of night photography. So, from my hotel room, I wanted to try and get a shot of car lights. I only wish the street was two way. The tripod performed perfectly. Strong, light and stable.
  • Pros: Folds Small, Good Stability, Lightweight

22 March 2015
  • Excerpt: I purchased this tripod to take on a trip, and it really lived up to the other reviews I read about it. It is small enough to fit in a back-pack (Manfrotto Veloce V), but extends to be big enough to get the job done.
  • Pros: Folds Small, Good Stability, Lightweight, Unfolds Quickly
  • Cons: Leg Position Dial Tricky

  • Excerpt: Purchased this tropod to take on a serious 25mile hiking and camping trip throughout Kauai and was extremely wary of doing so simply because of weight concerns.. Not only did the BeeFree become the perfect travel companion it provided with the most incredible shots. A must have. Perfectly built.

Girlfriend loves it!

Someone's boyfriend, B&H Photo
28 January 2015
  • Excerpt: I originally got her a much larger Manfrotto tripod which she liked but wanted something less bulky for hiking and traveling. This one fits the bill. You sacrifice a few features, such as the built in level and the head seems to be of slightly lower quality compared to the one I got her before (not...
