Very nice ball head

Eric, B&H Photo
28 May 2015
  • Excerpt: I really like this ball head for both the size and quality. I have it mounted to a Manfrotto 190xpro4 tripod. It's very sturdy but compact enough to carry on a backpack without being ridiculously heavy.
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Size For Pro Dslr, Good Stability, Large Range of Motion, Strong Clamp
  • Cons: Set Screw, Tightening Screw

  • Excerpt: This ball head accompanies my Manfrotto MT055CXPRO3 Carbon Fiber Tripod giving me endless possibilities for the perfect shot every time. The ball bubble levels are extremely helpful in situations where the ground is uneven, and the overall construction is superb.
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability
  • Cons: Heavy

Worth the money

  • Excerpt: Excellent build quality and ease of use. I bought this with 055XPro Alum tripod. I'm a hobbyist and take really good care of my equipment where lasting 15+ years is not uncommon, this will replace a 14 year old head that went on ski, climbing, and motorcycle trips over the years.

Use it with slider

Maniaco007, B&H Photo
1 January 2015
  • Excerpt: The head is solid. I use it on a slider for a BMCC with case (heavy) and it doesn't budge. I wouldn't use it to make movements with it though, even it is has a sticky horizontal adjusment... It won't be smooth. Just a note, the head is heavy!

18 November 2014
  • Excerpt: I replaced my Manfrotto MH054 Q2 head with this one and am very pleased. The plate is more secure so the worry of the camera falling off the head is now gone. GREAT product. Some reviews mention the locking lever/screw interfering with the camera body it is a simple positioning issue and once I set...

Nice Head, One Issue

Dave SCA, B&H Photo
24 October 2014
  • Excerpt: This is a nice head, lots of positions, options. The one thing they did wrong is to place the tightening screw for the camera plate too close under the camera. Its real tricky to be able to leave the screw loose enough to slide the camera bracket into the head, yet be able to tighten the screw...
