Summary: I use this for weddings when speed is important, it would not be my choice for outdoors or sports, it is not designed to take any punishment. The mounting screw is 1/4 inch so get a 3/8 converter if you want to put a small head on it. It fits in the bag and weighs nothing even with a small ball head. I am very happy with the results from this weekend.
Summary: I recently completed a visit to Glacier Park where I shot a varity of still photos and video. Although I took a tripod along, I found that I used the compact Bogen Monopod considerably more than my tripod. It was easy to switch the monopod back and forth from my still camera to my video camera. The compact size and light weight was perfect for traveling. The rugged design uses quick-locks for the leg extensions allowing infinite heighth adjustment.
Pros: Easily Adjusted, Good Footing, Lightweight, Locks In Tight, Rugged
