Flash Boredom!, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: Very light and surprisingly sturdy. The small foot leaves a lot to be desired so I added a retractable rubber foot on the end.

Manfrotto monopod with RC2 rapid connect

Mikey from Madison, Adorama
18 June 2012
  • Excerpt: I bought this monopod as a compliment to my MF tripod. They both use the RC2 rapid connect plate. As I already love my tripod, it only seems natural to love this monopod as well. After two outings it didn't dissapoint me. Only one problem is that it doesn't work too well with my C.C. camera vest's tripod adapter plate (quite dissapointing), although this is not an issue about the design of the monopod but rather the camera vest adaptor plate itself.

Great but overpriced

Dobrin, B&H Photo
21 March 2012
  • Excerpt: I use this monopod to shoot runway with my 5d Mark II and the very heavy 70-200 IS II lens. It's great, very solid, very light, but ... I don't think it's worth the price, especially compared to similar aluminum models. The best thing about this monopod - it's small enough to fit in a standard backpack.
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Expensive

Rock solid and light

Michael, B&H Photo
13 December 2011
  • Excerpt: I love the solid feel of this monopod. Another plus is that it is light but strong enough for my 7D and 1.5 lb lens. I bought it with the 496 RC2 head. This monopod was my choice because I wanted one light enough and small enough to carry on the plane. Next week I will be traveling to Italy and I am sure it will be great for those European landscapes and buildings.
