Solid and easily adjusted

  • Excerpt: This monopod is very useful when shooting wildlife or sports events, where a quick setup, adjustment, and fast relocation is necessary. It works great with heavy telephoto lenses, like a Nikon 28-300mm. It maybe a little heavy, but it is built well and the leg clamps are strong. I like to use it in conjunction with Manfrotto tripods withs a different head with quick releases.

Good, light, sturdy, but a bit short

  • Excerpt: Good Manfrotto quality you would expect. I wouldn't call this a "heavy duty" monopod, but at the same time, I don't see myself breaking this during commercial use. It's lightweight, sturdy and folds fast. Not to mention the price is right. My only complain is that it's a bit short. I'm 5'11" and I find myself slightly hunched over even at the maximum height.
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Opens Quickly, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Too Short

  • Excerpt: It should be a 5 stars. Only that the pod has a lot of oil throughout when delivered. I cleaned it up, works fine. Very strong and not too heavy.

  • Excerpt: I bought the monopod to use for nature photography while hiking and fishing. It is a little heavier than I imagined. It does a good job and easily supports my SLR and Canon 100 - 400 telephoto.

Just what I needed

  • Excerpt: As a dedicated armature, this was a perfect supplement to my tripod. It doesn't get much simplistic then this. A little larger then I thought it would be, but overall an excellent and easy to use product. I highly recommend it.

Easy to handle

Take 45, B&H Photo
31 July 2012
  • Excerpt: For the price, this monopod works very well; I use it to shoot on the streets of Manhattan. Much better than hand holding a DSLR camera; gives just the right amount of movement to the shot. Just wish you could 'upgrade' it to have feet.
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Opens Quickly, Strong Construction
