Excerpt: While I had owned this monopod for a couple of years, this was the first year that I started using it. It was used to support a collared Canon 70-200 f/4 with a Canon 50D attached. On the second trip out the lens seemed to move, but nothing major and I assumed that I had not tightened it down all the way. By the fourth trip it felt as if the lens and camera would fall off due to the wobble and I stopped using it.
Excerpt: Used this monopod with a Custom Brackets Digital PRO-SV Bracket and a Canon 7D to photograph the First Friday festival in Gadsden, Alabama recently. Excellent piece of equipment and I got some very good, sharp shots. The only thing that could possibly be improved would be to makke it a four section monopod so it colapses down a little smaller but that is a minor issue.
Excerpt: Manfrotto Three Section Monopod is more than adequate for my Olympus E-3 and E-5 cameras and provides reliable support for still and video camera work. It makes a good sturdy walking stick when needed. It is light weight, compact and I appreciate only having to make two height adjustments instead of four with other monopods.
Pros: Folds Small, Good Stability, Lightweight, Unfolds Quickly
Excerpt: Great quality product and it has been an excellent addition to our production equipment. We have used it with the GoPro to capture an arial shot of some students dancing to create a music video. It is durable and efficient for quick set up and take down.
Excerpt: Lightweight and sturdy, two very important features in a monopod, and this has both. The locks seem well constructed, and an allen wrench is included to make any adjustments, should the become a little loose. I added the same ball head that I have on my tripod so attaching my camera and/or lens to this is fast and simple.
Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Opens Quickly, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I wanted a monopod to help me reduce camera shake. I like the light weight of the monopod, the quick release, and the adjustments controls on the leg. I got the Manfrotto 234RC head to go with the monopod. I am a amateur photographer (retired) and this combo works for me.
Excerpt: I love this monopod. I tried it out this weekend and found I used it for almost every shot I took. From World Cup luge time trials at night to fireworks over the lake to telephoto shots in cloudy lighting while hiking. I couldn't ask for a better experience. I used this with the 234RC head and loved the ability to pop my cameras on and off with ease. I've used compact monopods with 3 adjustment leavers and I much prefer having only 2 like this monopod.
