Mid-lever spreader will break

  • Excerpt: If you do a little research on this particular tripod, you will learn that the mid-level spreader is very cheaply built, and eventually breaks forcing you to buy a replacement (537SPRB which retails for around $60-100).Check the reviews for that part on B&H and you'll see feedback from unhappy 545B customers.I have no experience with the ground spreader version, but I do know that the 536 carbon fiber tripod is much more durable.
  • Cons: Poor Design, Poor Performance, Pricey / Poor Value

Flexible & Stable

  • Excerpt: This is my first pro video tripod and I'm very please with it! I mostly use it with a jib setup which works very well - strong & stable. I also purchased the Manfrotto MBAG90PN Padded Tripod Bag to protect and transport it. I'd highly recommend a nice bag to protect this investment. Quality construction and design - I can see myself having this tripod for a long time!

Manfrotto 545b w/ mid level spreader

  • Excerpt: Great product only wish the leg clamps where easier to open and close, for fast change of camera height. Maybe i need to break them in a little bit. But unless you want to spend big money, i dont think you'd be able to find them out there. Like the ones i use in reality tv shows i work on.
  • Pros: Folds Small, Good Stability
  • Cons: Unfolds Slow
