Small and heavy but works great

Videobob, B&H Photo
25 April 2014
  • Excerpt: One of my shooters asked for a small tripod for shooting the blooming of flowers. Told her she was nuts and would look for one at NAB. In the mean time just use a sand bag. While at the John Lennon Experience bus at NAB I noticed this small tripod. Perfect for what my shooter wanted. It gets way down almost to ground level and supports a full size ENG camera. Plus the cost fits nicely into my equipment budget. My shooter loves it but now says it is heavy.

Love this Hi Hat!

  • Excerpt: Honestly, this is one of the few Manfrotto Products that I love, but it is really solidly built, and the fact that it folds (making it more compact for travelling), is huge to me. I use this with RED cameras, Canon Cinema Cameras, Sony Cameras, and it works like a charm. Easy to carry. And bonus points that it looks like a transformer, which my son likes.

  • Excerpt: We use this for a range of cameras from the FS100 to the RED one and Varicam. Very tough, versatile and it looks great. The leg clips are the only weak spot and have been on most manfrotto legs for years. Excellent value.
  • Pros: Good Stability, Lightweight, Value
  • Cons: Weak leg locking clips
