  • Excerpt: After using a couple cheap tripod heads, I needed to purchase a good head for a few reasons. As I move forward with my photography hobby, I've learned that I need to start buying equipment that has very good build quality and made to last.
  • Pros: Great build quality - very easy to lock down
  • Cons: A bit expensive

  • Excerpt: After years of using a cheaper midiballhead (manfrotto 486RC2) I felt the need for something better, something more precise. The old one was fine for casual landscapes but for precision framing it was no good. After some research I purchased this beautiful piece of equipment in july 2012.
  • Pros: Rugged, easy operation, precision, panoramicbase
  • Cons: A bit pricey but worth every penny, no dragcontrol for panbase
