Neatest leg locking system ever!

Adorama
19 April 2010
  • Excerpt: I had reviewed several tripods, perhaps I may have overlooked a few along the way, but the locking system caught my eye. A photographers dream come true. Easy to level, and allows camera mount vertical or horizontally. Push a button, slide the legs up and you're ready to go to the next scene.
  • Pros: Folds Small, Good Stability, Unfolds Quickly

I love this tripod..I love Bogen Imaging

Adorama
3 November 2009
  • Excerpt: I love its ease of leg extension and contraction. I move around a lot changing positions and this helps. One note of caution, the silver buttons that release the legs for contraction are held onto the tripod by two screws. During a trek last week, a screw fell out and I lost the button so it was not very easy to release the leg. Some archaeologist no doubt will find it. I called Bogen, and Maurizio sent me a replacement in one week. Great product and service.
  • Pros: Good Stability, Unfolds Quickly
  • Cons: Cumbersome, Heavy

Greatest tripod I have ever used

Adorama
8 November 2007
  • Excerpt: I have been using this tripod, with a Kirk BH-1 ballhead, for past few months now and am completely satisfied with it. It takes seconds to set up and take down, the best leg locking system I have ever seen. I take it backpacking, hiking and even use it for portrait photography. I highly recommend this tripod.

Best tripod ever!

az, Adorama
8 May 2007
  • Excerpt: This tripod with the neotec leg system is the best tripod you could ever use for hiking. It is just what I was looking for. You literally just pull the legs out to whatever length you need and they lock there. To collapse them, you just push a button and push them in. SOOO nice! No levers, or twist locks to deal with. I will NEVER go back to the old way. I hope this tripod lasts forever.
  • Pros: Folds Small, Good Stability, Lightweight, Speed, Unfolds Quickly

  • Summary: I'd been toying with the idea of buying this tripod for some time. Let's face it, it's not the cheapest in the Manfrotto range! I wanted it because I have problems with my hands and the button release mechanism sounded ideal. No more jamming my fingers!!It arrived today and I am over the moon with how easy it is to use.
